iPodOkay, this happens to my iPod all the time and I always forget how to unfreeze it.  So here are the simple instructions to reset your iPod Classic (< 5th Generation), iPod Mini and iPod Nano:

  1. Cycle the hold switch switch a couple of times and leave hold off
  2. Hold down the Menu and Middle Button for 6-8 seconds
  3. The iPod should reset and display the Apple logo

If the above steps don’t work, try repeating them a few times.  I haven never had a problem getting the iPod to reset with a little repetition.
