iPhone 2.0.1 Firmware update causes Carrier Update 0xE8000001 Error

I’ve just updated the firmware on my iPhone to version 2.0.1 (after much buzz on the web about its speed improvements).  The update applied fine, and my phone does seem a bit more responsive - however it throws an error regarding my carrier settings update failing each time I connect the iPhone to my computer.

Optus announces iPhone 3G Pricing Plans

Optus has just announced iPhone plans including pre-paid and post-paid plans for those who registered on their iPhone site.
To summarise these:

$79 a month gets you an iPhone for free
Include 800MB of data per month.
Unlimited data usage in the first month applies.
Prepaid the phone costs $729 for 8GB and $849 for 16GB phone

iPhone 3G - Includes GPS, retails for $199US

Steven Jobs announced today at the WWDC KeyNote presentation that the second generation of the iPhone will include 3G support, GPS and retail for $199US. I attended the KeyNote presentation and the announcement and the features of the iPhone are amazing, particularly when some of the games and 3rd party applications were demonstrated.

CSV to SQL Converter - Now supports UPDATE statements

Skype for Mobile: Beta Released

Skype today released the first Beta of Skype for Mobile, which allows users of most new mobile phones to run a version of Skype on their phone.  The Beta allows you to:

Send messages to your contacts
Receive calls from Skype contacts (charged at SkypeOut rates)

Wordpress 2.5.1 Released

Wordpress today released version 2.5.1 of the the blog software.  This release contains mainly bug fixes and a security update.  From their release notes, version 2.5.1 includes:

Microsoft Releases RDC 2 Beta 3 - (Remote Desktop Client)

Cyberduck Version 3, Beta 1 Released

Cyberduck (the excellent SFTP/FTP client for Mac OSX) has just released the first beta of Version 3 of the most excellent SFTP/FTP client.  Version 3 adds support for:

Amazon S3
WebDav
Apple Quicklook
